The Basic Prayer

Text: Eph. 6:18

  1. Decision – No matter what a person does when he or she comes into pray or in life you have to aim at a goal or target.

    1. James 1:6-8
    2. Hebrews 11:6
    3. Romans 12:3 - The measure of faith
    4. Mark 11:22 - The God kind of faith
    5. Every person has to make a decision before they can pray and expect God to answer them.

  2. Find the Promises of God from the Word.

    1. Joshua 1:8

      1. Meditate
      2. Observe to do
      3. You will be prosperous
      4. You will have success

    2. 2 Corinthians 1:20

  3. Ask God for What You Want

    1. Matthew 6:8 – For your Father knows the things you have need of before you ask Him
    2. Matthew 7:7-8
    3. John 15:7
    4. 1 John 5:14-15
    5. Proper protocol today to approaching the Father in the Name of Jesus (John 16: 23-24)

  4. Believe you Receive

    1. Mark 11:22-24

  5. Refuse to Doubt

    1. James 4:7 – Have to resist doubt and remove all thought of things out of mind
    2. 2 Corinthians 10:3-5
    3. Philippians 4:6

  6. Meditate On The Promise

    1. Proverbs 4:20-22
    2. John 15:7 – If you abide in me

  7. Praise and Worship Him

    1. Philippians 4:8
