Yielding
God wants us to get full of the Holy Ghost. God wants us to stay full of
the Holy Ghost. You need to drink of the Holy Ghost. We need to realize
that God can use anybody in the Kingdom of God by the Spirit of God. He is
not looking for qualifications or education. He is not looking for a degree
on the wall. He is looking for availability. I want to talk about becoming
available tonight. Just allow the Holy Spirit to flow through you to do
whatever He wants. The best example I can use is two people in the Bible
that they noticed that the Holy Spirit was on. Another example - if you
have ever seen my wife preach. We don't have degrees. In fact, my wife
thought she had a high school diploma and found out that she didn't. I
found out a few months ago that I did. We really messed up and God can use
anybody. He is looking for availability. Acts 4:13 says:
"Now when they saw the boldness of Peter and John, and perceived
that they were unlearned and ignorant men, they marveled; and they took
knowledge of them, that they had been with Jesus." Acts 4:13 (KJV)
People do that all the time with my wife and me. They take notice. They
take knowledge. They pay attention because the Spirit of God has a boldness
that starts coming out of us, and the Spirit of God comes on us and we just
start doing the things God wants without reservations, without thinking
about what people are going to say or do or if they like it or don't like
it because we are hooked up with heaven. God wants us to hook up in the
flow of the Spirit. God wants us to hook up in the place of the Spirit
where we are willing to get intoxicated by the Spirit of God and where we
will allow the Spirit of God to take over. The Spirit of God is constantly
trying to get us to the place where we will yield all the way to the Holy
Ghost; where we will constantly yield to the Spirit of God and do what the
Spirit of God wants, instead of what we want. He is constantly trying to
move us from the realm of the natural and the flesh, over to the spiritual
edge of doing what the Holy Ghost wants. And when you start doing that, you
will become so intoxicated and you will start becoming so free, you will
start realizing that you really are a majority.
In I Corinthians 12:13, this is what the Holy Ghost said:
"For by one Spirit are we all baptized into one body, whether we be
Jews or Gentiles, whether we be bond or free; and have all been made to
drink into one Spirit." I Corinthians 12:13 (KJV)
We have all been made to drink into one Spirit. What Spirit is that? The
Spirit of the Holy Ghost. And in the Spirit of God He causes us to have the
potential that we need of God to flow out of us. And that is why the body
of Christ needs to get intoxicated with the Spirit of God so we would yield
easier to the Spirit of God. God wants us to get out of our head and
operate out of our spirit. God wants us to get out of our thinking and get
hooked up with our spirit. That is why He baptizes us with one Spirit. He
gives us one spirit when we get born-again into the kingdom of heaven. We
don't get a new spirit when we get filled with the Holy Ghost and speak in
other tongues. We already have Him, but we don't have a hold on the
fullness of the subject. Because we need to realize by what He has given
us. We are all made to drink of one Spirit and that one Spirit will cause
us to become intoxicated. And that one Spirit will cause us to be changed.
And that one Spirit will cause us to become bold.
That is what I want to talk to you about - yielding to God. Becoming all
that God says you can be. How are you going to do that? You are not going
to do it by trying to take a piece of paper or write on the blackboard and
try to figure out how your destiny is going to come out. Your destiny is
not going to be the destiny you think if you are operating in the natural
instead of trying to do it by the Spirit. Because the Spirit of God has a
different message that you never thought possible. He is going to take you
to a higher mind. You will do more with your life than you ever expected,
and you will do it by yielding to the Sprit of God inside of you, by
allowing the river of God flowed out of you. And that is why God wants to
take the body of Christ into this revival. He wants to give them the Holy
Ghost. He wants them to yield to what God wants them to do from the Spirit,
not from the head.
You will always be talked out of the will of God by your mind because it is
not logical to do the things that God wants you to do by your natural mind.
The things of the Spirit are spiritually discerned that are not understood
by the natural mind. The Spirit of God flowing out of you only understands
them, and as He flows out of you, He will give you instruction, He will
give you the details, and He will show you how to accomplish them. It is
time for the body of Christ to flow in a new wave of the Spirit.
Because we are all made to drink into one Spirit, you know it doesn't
matter about your education. I have heard preachers say across the pulpit,
and it makes me sick in my spirit, that you aren't going to go anywhere if
you don't have a degree in this day and time. I tell you, Kenneth Hagin
never had a degree. He made it pretty well with the Holy Ghost. For a man
who never had a degree, he did pretty well. Do you know what he had? He had
a Holy Ghost degree. And when you get a Holy Ghost degree and you learn
from the Holy Ghost, there is no better schooling than the Holy Ghost.
Because no man can take you out of that teaching of what the Holy Ghost
taught you. And that is where God wants to take us. He wants to take us to
the school of the Spirit. Not to the school of the flesh or to the carnal
mind.
Because things He wants to impart to us and through us are going to come
out of our Spirit. There are things that have never been invented that we
are going to need before Jesus comes back, and it is going to come up out
of the Spirit. Some of you are going to be able to invent things that God
is going to place in your heart. You are not going to do it by the natural,
you are going to do it by the Spirit, because God is going to put it in
your heart and you are going to get an invention that is going to be very
beautiful for the whole body of Christ and the whole world, and prosperity
is going to come into your household and God is going to bless you with it.
And you are not going to get anything by the natural. You are not going to
do it by the natural. You are going to do it by the Spirit, because God is
going to put it in your heart and you are going to get an invention that is
going to be very useful for the whole body of Christ and the whole world,
and prosperity is going to come into your household and God is going to
bless you with it. You are not going to get that by the natural. You are
not going to get that by sitting down and making your mind hurt trying to
figure out how you can create an idea. Now it is going to come up out of
your spirit. Look at Acts chapter 2. And one way it is going to happen is
that you are going to get filled with the Spirit of God, and stay filled
with God. You don't leave the things of God. You don't leave the Word of
God. You stay constantly in the presence of God. Constantly going after
God. In Acts chapter 2 it is talking about the day of Pentecost, but I
really only want to look at one phrase. In verse 2 it says:
"And suddenly there came a sound from heaven as of a rushing mighty
wind, and it filled all the house where they were sitting." Acts 2:2
(KJV)
And verse 4 says:
"And they were all filled with the Holy Ghost, and began to speak
with other tongues, as the Spirit gave them utterance." Acts 2:4 (KJV)
It says, "They were all filled." You know what? You yield
to God; nobody can yield to an empty vessel. If you don't stay in the
presence of God, stay in the Word of God and get tanked up on God by
worshipping Him and getting hooked up with Him, then you are not going be
able to operate in the things that God wants. People wonder, "How did
she get like this? How did she act like this? How does the Spirit of God
come upon us? How does it come upon anybody?" Because they finally
turned their head off and hooked up to heaven out of their Spirit and the
Spirit of God comes upon them and the unction of the Holy Ghost to speak
the gospel, the uncompromising Words that flows up out of your heart with
boldness. And we wonder how we give or get to the Spirit or the Word of
Wisdom or the Word of Knowledge to operate, it is turning our head off and
hooking up with what is happening. And heaven starts to sway things to our
hearts and reveals things within us to speak to other people and other
individuals in the service or even on a one-to-one basis He will do that.
But we have to hook up to heaven. And then we have to take hold of His
presence.
Just because we got full of His presence one time, doesn't mean we are
full. We can be Christians. Someone comes along and stands up to you, pops
a hole in your bubble or you're crying, whichever way it is, and you start
leaking out all over the ground. "Ah, they said something ugly to
me." And you growl. "You believe in prosperity don't you?"
I...I...I... and you start trying to defend yourself. You don't have to
defend yourself when you believe in something. Just live it. Don't be sorry
they said anything. You don't have to put up a battle. "Well, I am
going to fight you over this." No, you already won. They are the
losers. Just stay full of God. Yield to the Spirit. Yield to the love of
God inside of you. Yield to the will of God for your life. Let the Spirit
of God that is inside of you have control. You can stop the Spirit of God
and keep Him from controlling you. The Bible says the love of God restrains
us, but the love of God doesn't restrain a lot of people. We need to be
yielding to the full potential that God has for us. And because of the
ministry we step into the full potential. We have got to yield to what He
is saying and let Him show us. Let Him give us the ideas. Let Him reveal
things to us. Look in John 7. He wants to pull things out of us. You know
we can get drunk in the Holy Ghost. People have been drunk tonight. You
know I am not placing the importance on being drunk. Being drunk is just a
manifestation of inner work and of the Holy Ghost when you are overflowing
with what is inside of you. Because what is inside of you will affect the
outward man. If it never affects your outward man, then what is inside of
you is dead. Let me say that again because I don't think you heard me. I
think it went over your head or past your ears or something. I said,
whatever is inside of you, if it doesn't affect the outward man, then
whatever is inside of you is dead. Because the life of God is not springing
up out of you. The life of God is not flowing out of you. You might not be
born again.
I was born again at the age of seven years old, but I never knew the
privileges I had until I was twenty-five years old when I got filled with
the Holy Ghost. When God had me open the Bible, and I started reading the
Bible and He taught me to understand what the Bible says. I could not
understand it all those eighteen years, by the grace of God this day, but I
was worse than any sinner. If I only knew when I was seven what I know now,
I would be that much further in the ministry and the things that God wants
me to do. But He is coming back and will have plenty of time to fulfill
everything. But we need to yield to where He is guiding us. Because you
know what? I didn't know anything. The Spirit inside of me never did make
me change. I ran into the best that would come along and try to convince me
that I had to become a Mormon or Jehovah's Witness. We used to have them
come to our house until we got filled with the Holy Ghost and they hated
me. I knew enough about salvation that it just scared them. And that is all
I knew. We had the Mormons sitting on our couch one time and I just told
them. My wife didn't even know even if I was saved. I preached Jesus to them,
and they were just flabbergasted. They wanted to leave, and I said,
"Fine." I said, "You guys are going to hell." I didn't
know what I was doing, until I was filled with the Holy Ghost. They just
kept coming to my house and wanting me to go to the Mormon Church. But I
would not because I had found the church of God and was born into it now.
We need to become what the Holy Ghost wants us to become. Yield to the
Spirit of God.
See John 7 verses 37 and 38, especially verse 38. We need to yield. The
Holy Ghost is constantly trying to nudge us, trying to get us to yield to
Him. He is constantly trying to get us to yield over to operate out of the
Spirit instead of our head, our thinking. You know because things will run
a lot smoother in our lives and we affect more people.
"In the last day, that great day of the feast, Jesus stood and
cried, saying, 'If any man thirst, let him come unto me, and drink. He that
believeth on me, as the scripture hath said, out of his belly shall flow
rivers of living water.'" John 7:37-38 (KJV)
It says, "out of his belly shall flow..." Something should be
flowing out of you. Something should be coming out of you. It should not be
bad things. James says, how is this that sweet water and bitter water come
from the same vessel. This should not be, but it is.
"Out of the same mouth proceedeth blessing and cursing. My
brethren, these things ought not so to be. Doth a fountain send forth at
the same place sweet water and bitter?" James 3:10-11 (KJV)
God wants only one water - His heavenly water. When the bitter water comes,
it is because we are operating in the carnality and in the flesh, out of
our minds. But when it flows sweet water, it is the water of heaven coming
out of us. We are yielding to the Holy Ghost. We need to be yielding to the
Holy Ghost inside of us so He can develop us, so He can train us, so He can
mold us, so we can become all that God wants us to become in this life so
we can be used for revival on the earth. It is not going to happen any
other way. He is just not going to drop kick you into heaven. He wants to
work on you. He wants to mold you. He wants to change you. He wants to use
you here. And it says here, "out of his belly shall flow rivers of
living water."
Out of you something should be flowing. You know why people don't get drunk
in the Holy Ghost? It is because they are afraid that they are going to act
different and someone might laugh at them. Someone might laugh with you.
Most people see someone else get drunk and they are not really drunk, they
are only laughing with the person that is getting drunk and they are
thinking that God's blessing them…not that they are getting the overflow.
Only getting the overflow of the Holy Ghost. This person is drunk and this
person is laughing and they are really drunk because they can't hardly get
up and they can't hardly function and the joy of God is flowing out of
them. And everybody else is just getting the overflow because you are
laughing with them. I am not going to say you are laughing at them, you might
be. Because they act strange in front of you and me - you haven't seen
anyone get that loose before and you have never been that loose before, so
you don't know any different. That is why so many Christians get offended
when someone else is drunk and they say, "I am not going to act that
way." But you would if you yielded to the Spirit. If you really gave
in and yielded to the Spirit, you would act that way. And the only reason
why you don't act that way is because you are not sure you are really in
the Spirit. You are afraid you are going to hear from heaven for the first
time in your life. Because you know what? I guarantee it - 99% of all
Christians don't hear from heaven. They hear from their flesh because it
only tickles them. They have itchy ears. They hear something sweet and God
doesn't itch your ear. He straightens you out. He does not itch your ear if
you are tempted. He straightens you out. He speaks plain where you will
understand. You don't have to think, "Well, I wonder what that meant?"
I see an ice cream cone. "I wonder what that meant? It meant nothing.
It just tempted you. You know, people come to me all the time and they say,
"I had this vision. Can you give me an interpretation?" After
they have given me thirty minutes of what their vision is, they say,
"You know what it means?" I say, "Yeah! It means nothing.
Because you don't have the understanding of it."
If God gives you something, you are going to understand it. You don't have
to go running around for somebody else to tell you what it means. If He
shows you, He is going to give you the meaning, not someone else.
You should have something flowing out of you. The Word says, "out of
his belly shall flow rivers of living water." Rivers shall flow out of
you. Not out of somebody else. We need to be yielding to the Spirit inside
of us, the Holy Spirit inside of us. The Spirit of God is trying to nudge
us to get out of the operation of the norm and get in the operation of the
Spirit. When we operate in the Spirit, we will see more demonstrations of
the Spirit, and we will see more things by the prompting of the Spirit. God
wants to get us so drunk by the Holy Ghost that we step over to where we
yield to the Spirit of God and start producing fruit in our lives. Instead
of works. You may have the fruits, but not the works. Most of us are
putting in a lot of works and not fruits because we are not doing it out of
the Spirit. We are doing something to please other people. To look good
before someone else. God wants our hearts. God wants us to yield to the
Spirit.
Look at Ephesians 5:17. I am going to bring something out that maybe you
don't understand - why He wants you to get loosed. Most Christians, most
churches don't even have the move of the Spirit of God in their churches.
They desire to move in God, for the Holy Ghost to move and to manifest. But
what has happened is that there has been too much control and restrain over
the Holy Ghost because of things laid down by the leaders. And I understand
there has been a lot of weirdness over the years. I know there has been a
lot of teaching on prophesy where the people can prophesy to one another,
and that is not true. That is not even scriptural. To prophesy to one
another. Only, I see the only person to prophesy to someone else is someone
who stands in the five-fold ministry, usually a prophet. Sometimes a
minister will allow an evangelist to step over into the prophetic
anointing. Sometimes a pastor will step over into the anointing and will
say things because a prophet is coming to town, because maybe their church
is not big enough to have a prophet. Or if it is, they don't take care of
him right.
"Wherefore be ye not unwise, but understanding what the will of the
Lord is." Ephesians 5:17 (KJV)
He is telling us what the will of the Lord is. I know that most of the time
this is used for drinking. "What the will of the Lord is." But
that is not really what He is saying here. Because we have only heard the
surface part. You only get the people to where it starts affecting them on
the surface.
"And be not drunk with wine, wherein is excess; but be filled with
the Spirit." Ephesians 5:18 (KJV)
And we stop right there. The reason why God put this…first of all He put
this here because Christians are so carnal and so caught up in their heads,
that if He can't get them intoxicated, He can't use them in the flow of the
Spirit. Isn't that something? Because they are not going to do what is
right, they are going to do it out of their flesh. Now, I go to certain
churches, and I won't name the churches because it is nobody else's
business but mine because I don't want to point fingers. But the last time
I was there, they are a church that has a lot of people every service that
line up to give a word. Now, is God that confused that He has to have
twenty or thirty people lined up to give a word for one service? Something
is out of order. And the pastor used to let every one of them give a word.
So by the time you get twenty people giving a word, the service becomes a
mess. And then you as a guest speaker have to get up there and preach. And
you have to wallow through all the mud and mire and all the junk and
everything else. And try to conjure something up and get to the norm. By
faith it took twenty-five minutes to get to the normal. Then all of a
sudden, after twenty-five minutes you hit the anointing because you try to
get through the quicksand and all the traps laid by the devil by the
individuals because of their carnality and flesh and their minds. And the
reason God causes the joy and the laughter to come into the church and get
the church intoxicated is to get them outside of themselves and to get
caught up with Him so He can use them by the Spirit and not by the natural.
Because things of the Spirit have to come straight from the Spirit, not
from the head. And people try to operate the things and it really messes
the things of God up. God's faith was here, and my wife gives tongues and
she gives interpretation, and when you heard the tongues and the
interpretation, it was a complete sign that the glory of God dropped on
this place, and it was God's signature of approval of what was being said
by the Spirit of God. And most of the time when you hear something by the
Spirit of God it will increase the anointing instead of decrease the
anointing. And when there is a decrease in the anointing, that means that
that person is operating out of their mind or out of their flesh. They are
not operating in the Spirit. Or they were out of order and they were not
supposed to give what they gave at that time. But usually it is the first
two. Because most Christians are not hooked up to the Spirit. They are only
hooked up by the flesh. They think they are hearing from God all the time
and saying things all the time. I tell you what. You are not going to hear
God by watching television and going to late night pizza. God wants us in
the Spirit…yielding in the Spirit, dealing with the Spirit, not what we
want.
God wants to use each and every one of us, not just in the church, but also
out in the street. Because He can use you always by the Word of Knowledge,
Word of Wisdom out in the street because you are yielding to the Spirit of
God and you are not just yielding to your natural mind or your flesh.
Because when He moves through you, it is not going to be logical to you to
say it or to do it. That is what scares most people from operating in the
Spirit. That is why God, first of all He is a thorn to the church and
second of all, He is trying to get them in the flow of the Spirit and into
the river of God so the revival cannot just be in the church, because
revival is not going to take place in the church, souls are not going to be
saved in the church, hardly any souls have been saved in the church because
nobody is bringing souls to the church. The church has to go out to the
highways and byways to call them in there. I have not been in too many
churches lately that drag people in. They usually invite people in. And if
we get five or six people all week, we think it is a landslide. And that is
a crying shame to God. Because that is what we are supposed to be doing. We
are supposed to be telling people to come in. So why does He want us to get
intoxicated? Why does He want us to get full? He wants us to get
intoxicated and so full that when we come into this service, look what it
says verse 19:
"Speaking to yourselves in psalms and hymns and spiritual songs,
singing and making melody in your heart to the Lord." Ephesians 5:19
(KJV)
First of all, He wants us to do it ourselves. We wants us to learn how we
can get built up ourselves after we start yielding to a new life. Then we
will never have a down day. We will wake up with a song in our heart
rolling inside of us. We will wake up to something that will cause a new
spring to our step inside of us. Because what are we doing? We have finally
gotten out of the flesh, instead of constantly yielding every day we are
constantly looking for God to say something through us that will build us
up to minister to us. And when we start stepping into this anointing
enough, then here is where God will start the laughter in the church when
we have Holy Ghost meetings where everyone is going to get drunk. It is not
going to happen overnight. And I don't think it is ever going to happen. Do
you know why? We are always going to have problems with the time we can
enjoy God through the church and just have ministry to us. It is time for
the joy of God to take over the service and just hit us all. It is just
something we lost in the kingdom of God. People say, "Well, the devil
stole my joy." No. You shut the door for it coming out of you. And
look what it says here, verse 19. Who is doing verse 19? You are. The real
you. You are allowing it to escape your lips. Speaking psalms, hymns, and
spiritual songs. You are singing the Word. You are. You as an individual.
Well, if you could do that, then you can also do it in the Spirit.
He wants to mature us. He wants us to walk in the Spirit. He wants us to
hear from heaven. He wants us in tune with heaven. He wants us to yield to
our spirit and the Holy Ghost inside of us that we cannot just get blessed
ourselves, but that we can become a blessing. That is what He wants. Look
at Colossians, chapter 3, starting at verse 15:
"And let the peace of God rule in your hearts, to the which also ye
are called in one body and be ye thankful. Let the word of Christ dwell in
you richly in all wisdom; teaching and admonishing one another in psalms
and hymns and spiritual songs, singing with grace in your hearts to the
Lord." Colossians 3:15-16 (KJV)
That is the key - to let the word of Christ dwell in you richly in all
wisdom. You have got to be full; you have got to be real full. Something
has to be flowing out of you. You need to be teaching and admonishing one
another. That word "admonishing" has nothing to do with correction
where you have a beef with somebody. When you are operating in the Holy
Ghost, admonishing one another in the sanctuary, you are singing in the
spirit in psalms and hymns and spiritual songs with grace in your heart to
the Lord. You are not in the public assembly. You are singing in the
sanctuary, you are singing in the Spirit. Whatever you do in word or deed,
you honor the name of the Lord, giving thanks to God the Father by Him.
What you are doing when you are singing a psalm or song, it might be
correction to the outward man because the outward man in your mind might
realize you have let go of something. And that is good correction. It is
not a rebuke; it is correcting you or reminding you of what you already
know. God is not rebuking anybody in the public assembly. He only does that
in your personal life. God wants to take us to another level, another level
of the spirit. We need to get drunk.
Go back to Ephesians 11. We need the intoxication of the Spirit. We
literally need it. Because I will tell you what, if it is not real, then
what happened to my wife didn't happen. And I would be lying. It happened
and it changed her life. Nine days drunk in the Holy Ghost and she gets up
and I come home and I have a new wife. That was God. And I have seen over
the years, before this ever happened, the Holy Ghost falling on people and
falling on their face in my services, and people's lives being changed. But
it doesn't happen all the time. If we are just coming to get drunk, then we
are missing something. If we are coming for God and just coming to yield
ourselves and submit to God, then we are going to get something, because we
are coming to a Holy Ghost meeting. The Holy Ghost doesn't do the same
thing all the time.
Now, we have a man named Rodney Howard-Browne, who is in the kingdom of God
and he has the anointing on him, and it does happen all the time in all of
his meetings. But I know other people that operate similar to him, that
they don't have it operate all the time, they try to make it happen all the
time. You can't make it happen. You can only do what the Holy Ghost wants
to do, because the manifestation of the Spirit is given as He sees fit, not
as we see fit. The anointing manifests as He wills, not as we will. And
that is what we need to live on. Sometimes it might just be cold. I was
studying today and the Holy Ghost said, "You can have a Holy Ghost
meeting tonight if you want to or you can do what I want." So you can
have a Holy Ghost meeting, but you know what? People's lives are not going
to change. Because with no instruction, it doesn't matter how much Holy
Ghost falls, with no instructions that can help you grow. And God wants to
take us beyond just laughter, but keep the laughter, embrace the laughter
and embrace getting intoxicated by the Spirit of God. But we need to step
higher. We need to become more effective in the church, so that we come in
the church and we are ready.
We are ready to be used by God in the church as well as outside of the
church. The reason the people need to get intoxicated in the church is
because they lose their pride. There is so much spiritual pride in the
church that it needs to be knocked out. People are so prideful, they are so
proud that they are a Christian and they can quote the Word from Genesis to
Revelations, but they don't live it. Scripture pride is judged faster than
natural pride. God doesn't like spiritual pride. He will put judgment on
you in this lifetime, but natural pride He will let you be until the day
you go home if it is not hurting. But spiritual pride will be killed and
take you home prematurely.
"For if I pray in an unknown tongue, my sprit prayeth, but my
understanding is unfruitful. What is it then? I will pray with the spirit,
and I will pray with the understanding also: I will sing with the spirit,
and I will sing with the understanding also." I Corinthians 14:14-15
(KJV)
How are you going to do that if you are not yielding to the Spirit? Some of
you may be shocked at what I am preaching because it is not like the other
messages I have given, but you know what? God wants us to get out of the
mire and to come into the place where we become ministers to others.
Because that is maturity. Come to church to get ministered to and to get
blessed, but at the same time we need to get ministered to by the Word when
we get outside of ourselves and get hooked up with God, and then we become
a blessing to somebody else. And we start doing what God says in His Word
instead of always looking for God to come to hit me again with the Holy
Ghost. We do need that time, I get that way. I told you if I am dealing
with Him, I can get pretty drunk up here. You see my wife; there is a good
anointing up here. And look what it says here in verse 15 again:
"What is it then? I will pray with the spirit, and I will pray with
the understanding also: I will sing with the spirit, and I will sing with
the understanding also." I Corinthians 14:15 (KJV)
Let me give you an interpretation of singing in the Spirit. You don't have
to wonder if you can do it, you can.
"Else when thou shalt bless with the spirit, how shall he that
occupieth the room of the unlearned say Amen at thy giving of thanks,
seeing he understandeth not what thou sayest?" I Corinthians 14:16
(KJV)
How is it that we come to church? We should all come without our personal
doctrines; we should all come with a tongue and interruption. We should all
come ready to church. We should all come with something to give. I have
found people coming, and I have gotten on them because every one of them was
doing it in the flesh because it didn't line up with the Word. People do it
all the time. I mean you have Sister Bucket Mouth running around gossiping
all over everybody and Brother Doo Dad who does it all the time. It is the
same Word every service; people heard it the first time. God hooks up with
what is going on in that service. And if we are listening to our Spirit, he
will nudge it, He will use us.
My wife and I, we go to a church that we love dearly, but you know they
don't let the church operate the way they need to operate because they have
it established under a wrong Word. But you know what? I have the operation
of the gifts of the Word all the time I am on travel. My wife has it
sitting in the church, but it is a tiny church and she never gets to
operate in it. And now that she is on the road, she can start operating in
the things that God has wanted her to operate in all these years. And she
is going to become prettier and prettier because she speaks under the
anointing. It just makes her glow. But the body of the church wants to hold
her back from doing the things by the Spirit. Because now she yields to the
Spirit, and you can yield to the Spirit, once you capture the move of God
to move by the Spirit. Because God said to move with the Spirit.
The more He moves here, the more you are going to be able to move outside
the church because you will have more confidence in the Holy Ghost when He
leads you. We need to realize that He is not going to hurt us when He has
us do something. He is not going to make you say or do something. You are
going to know. And some people always say, "Well, I just had to give
it. I know. I just couldn't control it." Well, the Bible says the
spirit of the prophet is subject to the prophet.
"And the spirits of the prophets are subject to the prophets."
I Corinthians 14:32 (KJV)
That means your spirit is subject to you. And I have learned the hard way
over some things I did, but at least I learned from it. I know I operate in
the prophetic anointing at different times as the Spirit wills. I can't
make it happen, I can't conjure it up. You know I am not going to try to
make it happen. But you know I was one time in home meeting and this girl
and this young man, I called them out and as they stood in front of me I
saw just like I was watching a movie. I saw where they had committed
adultery. I saw the place where it had happened, the time and everything.
But I never had this happen to me ever before. This is years back. And so I
just thought I was supposed to give it. I gave it. And that guy wanted to
kill me. And this Bible Study happens to be in this girl's parent's house.
I am sure they wanted to kill me too. But they didn't say anything to me.
But it was true. Everything was 100% the truth, but dead wrong because of the
way I did it. I am just telling you some practical experiences. I know some
won't be honest like me. They have never missed it. But you know what? They
do miss it. Everyone misses it. You miss it when you go to God and when you
do things with God. You will miss it.
But God wants to flow something out of us. He wants to flow joy out of us.
He wants to flow edification out of us to build up the body of Christ. He
wants us to be able to sing psalms and hymns and spiritual songs in the
church and unto the Lord to build ourselves up. He wants us to be used like
we have never been used before. Because once we start being yielded to the
Holy Ghost in that area, He will start using us in the Word of Knowledge
and the Word of Wisdom or tongues and tongues with interruptions in the
office also. Because you know He is going to start you at the lowest level.
Every Christian should be able to give a tongue and interpretation or a
prophecy. If God is living inside of you, you should be able to do it. As
soon as my wife gave a tongue last night; I hooked right up with the
tongue. I could give the interpretation of what she said, but when you have
to understand, this weekend you have the interpretation that someone else
has and you got it and you have to wait and see if the person has the
tongue has the interpretation. Because the Bible says if one gets
something, hold your peace until you got it.
"If any thing be revealed to another that sitteth by, let the first
hold his peace." I Corinthians 14:30 (KJV)
People don't like being judged. They don't like anything being judged
because they think it might be against them. No, it is just against being
right or not. It is a lost art in the body of Christ - Christians learning
to operate in the right order of the gifts of the Spirit. It is the art of
the Holy Ghost taking something out of our hearts as He says something to
us, and projecting it to the people through an utterance in another tongue
or in a known tongue to cause people to have the heaviness be lifted up,
the burdens to be broken or to hook up to what the preacher is about to
preach and cause that anointing to be increased to a higher level. It is
time for the body of Christ to come to that place, because we need to see
that kind of manifestation, because we need to see the rivers flowing out
of us. We need to see things operating out of us like never before. We need
to see that happening in the local churches, because that is part of the
move of God. We are not going to see the miracles if we don't see tongues and
interpretations. We are not going to see miracles if we don't see
prophesies coming forth in the church. People say, "I want to see the
working of miracles in operation." Well, how many times in one week
have they seen prophecies? We can't see those things because we are not
growing up with the church growth, because the church has to have the
fullness of God and the development of the Spirit when it comes to
interpretation to come forth out of individuals to flow as gifts of the
Spirit, to operate through the gift of healings and working of miracles. I
hope the body of Christ realizes I am saying this in love. That is, the
simple things are not operating, so how can complex things? I thank God for
a good pastor that I had when I went to Rhema. He taught the church how to
flow in the Holy Ghost, and I learned when I went to school how to operate
in the Holy Ghost and listen the Spirit of God. I used to come to the
service and never be used by God, but know everything that was going to
happen. It puzzled me at first. Then one day the pastor stood up behind the
pulpit and it was Sunday morning and he says, "There are some of you
here who have been praying by the Spirit of God that are called into the
five-fold ministry and you may never be used while you are in this church
in the operations of what God speaks to you of how to interpret the flow of
the Spirit of God so you will know when God leads you." I thought,
"Man, that was just for me." It may have been for everyone else
too, but it was for me because I didn't understand it, why I knew all this
stuff.
If you don't understand the book of I Corinthians 14, you can really
misunderstand everything because it is not all collated together in one
setting. Each verse fits something else.
"If any many speak in an unknown tongue, let it be by two, or at
the most by three, and that by course; and let one interpret. But if there
be no interpreter, let him keep silence in the church; and let him speak to
himself, and to God." I Corinthians 14:27-28 (KJV)
It says if there be no interpreter. It doesn't say someone interpret
tongues. Look at what it says here. See if it is only one person who knows
the flow of the Spirit of God, it is out of order. The pastor and the
leaders of the church should know the order of the Spirit of God before it
happens. That pastor is responsible for the flow of the Spirit of God. That
pastor is responsible to know before he gets behind that pulpit what way
the Holy Ghost wants to go. Do you know what that means? That means most
ministers are out of order when they step behind the pulpit. I didn't write
the Bible. I learned this from Kenneth Hagin. And he said this very
straight. But most ministers are not hooked up with interpreting the flow,
which is why things never happen in this place. They have their programs.
They have their schedules. Five songs, the offertory, then one song, sit
down, 20 minute sermon, benediction, altar call for anybody who really
needs help - if you really, really need help, otherwise we don't want to be
bothered with you. They don't say that. You really need help today? Does
anyone really need help? Oh yeah, we close the service, you know. And they
say, "You know, if you really need prayer, there is a bunch of people
here that can pray for you. So come on down. The rest of you who need
salvation, you need ministering, we don't have the time to do this during
the message. Just make sure you put the offering in before you leave."
How hungry are you? How much do you really want to be used by God? It is
how free you are going to get. It is time for you to get loose. What we
need to understand is that we just need to flow with the Holy Ghost. He
will move in it, around it because He knows the situation that is in the
church right now. I guarantee you that if you will ask, expecting Him to
lead you, start yielding to Him, start listening to Him, He will give it to
you. When you just yield over to the Holy Ghost, God wants to activate some
things. So this thing that is sitting in your heart, God probably already
dropped in your heart. He is speaking to us all the time, but our hearts
don't always listen. He isn't going to speak a word without you knowing.
You really need Him in this day and age if you are a Christian. You need to
flow with Him.
If you have never accepted Jesus Christ in your heart to be your Lord and
Savior, this is your time. Jesus loves you. Jesus loves you right where you
are. He wants you to accept Him. This is your time. If you have never been
baptized with the Holy Ghost with the evidence of speaking with other
tongues, He wants to baptize you with the Holy Ghost. He will give you
another free gift. This is another free gift that goes along with
salvation. Or if you are not right with God because you have backslid and
you need to come back home and be of the Word. This is your time. He loves
you right where you are. He will restore you back into the relationship.
Father, fill this person with the Holy Ghost to reach into their heart and
soften their heart. Father God, help them to know in the Spirit you love
them. Let them know you love them so dearly you want to help them.
